Plantefarging/dyeing wool with plant materials

 

Dette teppet er strikket i Holfeldt Lunds tynne, to-tråds ull fra spelsau. Alt er farget med planter og lav funnet i Eikvåg utenfor Farsund, der hytta vår er.

This is knitted with a thin wool; two-thread of 'spelsau'(which many consider to be the original breed of sheep in Norway). All dye stuffs are plants and lichens found around our cabin  on the south coast of Norway, in Eikvåg outside Farsund town.

 

Dette teppet er strikket av Iglo fra Trysil Garn, et billig men bra ullgarn. Fargene (unntatt den grønne) er fra planter, steinlav og slørsopp. Tror den fersken-gul-rosa er krapp, og den lilla er logwood (Haematoxylon campechianum)
